On 1st June 2026, Dr and Mrs Koh visited two deeply significant landmarks connected to the legacy of Lolo Dr Jose Rizal.
Their first stop was Luneta, now known as Rizal Park, where they paid their respects at the final resting place of Dr Jose Rizal. His remains, kept in an urn, are enshrined there for the public, locals and foreigners alike, to honour the memory of the national hero.

They also visited the cemetery where Dr Jose Rizal was first buried after his execution, a solemn place that recalls the sacrifice he made for his country and his people.

The visit was made even more meaningful through the kindness of Mr Leandro Bantug, the great-grandnephew of Lolo Dr Jose Rizal, who brought Dr and Mrs Koh to these two important landmarks.
It was a day of remembrance, respect, and gratitude for a man whose courage, writings, and love for his country continue to inspire generations.
